Therapy for Depression
When Life Feels Heavy, You Don’t Have to Carry It Alone.

If you’ve been feeling numb, disconnected, or like you’ve just been going through the motions… you are not alone. Maybe things you used to love don’t feel exciting anymore. Maybe you can’t remember the last time you felt truly happy, or even okay. Some days, it can feel easier to just stay in bed, shut out the world, and wait for it all to pass.

But here’s what I want you to know: feeling like this doesn’t mean you’re broken, lazy, or hopeless. It means you’re human, and something inside you needs care, not judgment.
At For The Love of You Therapy, we help young adults, teenagers, and parents navigate the difficult, confusing feelings that come with depression. Therapy isn’t about being told to “just think positive” or “snap out of it.” It’s about having a safe space where you can talk freely about what’s weighing you down, and get real support to start feeling like yourself again.

We’ll work together to understand the root of your depression and find ways to ease the heaviness. Whether it’s through building healthier routines, shifting negative self-talk, processing grief or trauma, or simply having someone listen without judgment, you don’t have to figure this out on your own.

Depression can feel isolating, but help is here. Let’s talk and see how therapy can help you or your teen feel lighter, more hopeful, and connected to life again.

FAQ
What is your experience treating depression?
I’ve worked with many people who are carrying the weight of depression in their daily lives. For some, it shows up as constant exhaustion or lack of motivation; for others, it’s deep sadness or feeling disconnected from themselves. My role is to meet you where you are, help you untangle those heavy feelings, and guide you toward a place where life feels lighter and more manageable.

What’s your approach to treating depression?
I take a holistic approach, which means we don’t just look at symptoms, we explore your whole self. That can include your emotions, thought patterns, relationships, lifestyle, and even the way stress shows up in your body. Together, we’ll find gentle, practical steps that help you move forward and create more balance and relief in your everyday life.

How long will therapy take, and how will we track progress?
Everyone’s journey and pace is different. Some people notice change in a few weeks; others take months. We'll set goals together, then check in regularly to tweak our plan and celebrate even small improvements.

Do you work with medication providers?
I focus on therapy, not prescribing, but I can collaborate with your doctor or psychiatrist if medication may help. We’ll discuss whether combining therapy with medication might be the best approach for you.

What should I do between sessions to support my progress?
Homework is a powerful part of therapy. Whether it’s a thought log, mindfulness practice, or a small behavior-based goal, these activities help reinforce what we discuss in session and support lasting change.
